classification
The bringing together into classes of elements that are similar such as the grouping of costs, samples, tests, types of work, etc.
classification of defects
The enumeration of possible defects of the unit of product, classified according to their seriousness. Defects will normally be grouped into the classes of critical, major or minor; however, they may be grouped into other classes, or into subclasses within these classes.
clearance number
Is the number of successively inspected units which must be found free of defects concerned before a certain action to change the inspection procedure can be taken.
client
The party to a contract who commissions the work and pays for it on completion.
The person or organization for whom a project is implemented.
client environment
The conditions under which a client operates, such as the social factors found within the organization.
