switzerland — cablecom reports 3q results
Cablecom, the Swiss cableco that is wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Global, has reported its 3Q results which show an 11.5% increase in revenue to CHF238 million. The rise was a result of higher uptake of its digital video, broadband internet and telephony services. Operating income for the three months ended 30 September was CHF700,000 compared to a loss of CHF57.5 million in the same period a year ago. The company had 1.82 million homes passed at the end of 3Q, of which 1.27 million were two-way capable. 394,900 users took broadband internet services at the same data while 239,600 subscribed to its telephony services.
