switzerland — cablecom reports 15% revenue growth
Switzerland’s largest cable operator by subscribers, Liberty Global’s Cablecom, has reported a 15.1% increase in turnover for the year ending 31 December 2006 to CHF966.5 million (USD792 million). Operating cashflow rose 29.3% to CHF398.8 million from the CHF308.4 million recorded in 2005. At the end of 2006 Cablecom’s network passed 1.83 million homes, of which 1.28 million were two-way capable. At the same date the company claimed 411,900 broadband and 253,400 telephony customers.
