usa — verizon to supply homeland security

Verizon Communications has been contracted in a USD678.5 million deal as the primary supplier of network equipment and services to the US Department of Homeland Security over the next ten years. The deal is part of the US General Services Administration's (GSA’s) USD48 billion Networx Universal programme, which is the largest federal telecoms contract ever awarded by the GSA. AT&T was named as the secondary provider for the Homeland Security Department.
