kazakhstan — kar-tel installs anti-fraud system
The Kazakh cellular operator KaR-Tel has installed the Minotaur fraud management software suite from Neural Technologies. KaR-Tel’s Russian parent company Vimpelcom has been using the solution since 2002 and says that it reduced fraud to such an extent that it paid for itself within five weeks of launch, Cellular News reports. Andrey Maneshin, Director of Fraud Management and Revenue Assurance at Vimpelcom, stated, ‘Minotaur has consistently produced results for us. Over the years it has substantially improved the accuracy of our fraud identification. The solution has kept pace with our tremendous subscriber growth and has proved to be a sound return on investment. The decision to roll out the solution to our affiliates was an easy one and the results are already exceeding our expectations.’
