usa — sprint nextel selects dragonwave for backhaul
Sprint Nextel has selected DragonWave to provide the backhaul solution for its Xohm WiMAX services. Sprint will initially deploy DragonWave's IP-based Horizon Compact and Horizon Duo Ethernet products in Baltimore, Washington and Chicago. DragonWave's Ethernet microwave radios will provide Sprint with carrier-grade backhaul delivery and maximum 1.6Gbps full duplex wire speed connectivity. DragonWave will join FiberTower which has also been contracted by Sprint to deploy commercial Ethernet services for Xohm's backhaul.
