usa — nextphase announces wimax plans
The US wireless broadband operator NextPhase Wireless has announced plans to deploy an 802.16e WiMAX network in New Jersey and Philadelphia. The firm says it has completed hardware evaluation and testing and is now reviewing site acquisition plans. NextPhase holds a national licence to operate in the 3.65GHz band and intends to deploy a nationwide wireless broadband network which will be aimed at educational, local government and commercial users.
