usa — earthlink, aol deal on the cards?
Rolla Huff, CEO of Atlanta-based ISP EarthLink, has said the company wants to facilitate consolidation in the internet dial-up access market, giving credence to rumours the company is looking to make a deal with Time Warner’s AOL. Huff would not confirm if EarthLink was in talks with Time Warner, but observed that any negotiations would be influenced by Time Warner’s talks with Microsoft and Yahoo.
